The Inlaid and Overlay Process
The Inlaid Process consists of laser cut letters and braille inlaid into laser cut opening on a matte finish background with .030 exposed above background (per ADA Standard). Raised letters and braille are inlaid into any color background, bonded to the substrate and cannot be easily removed or vandalized. Theme or decorative patterns can be incorporated into the second surface of both systems in a full color image or any graphic configuration.
The Overlay Process uses a matte finish hard plastic material formed under heat and pressure to form raised copy and braille. This integral overlay provides ADA standards and vandal protection for the raised copy and braille, background colors and graphic images. Theme or decorative patterns can be incorporated into the second surface of both systems in a full color image or any graphic configuration. This process can be combined with slide and window plaques or any configuration in our product line. This product is not affected by moisture and may be used for interior and exterior applications.
The Direct Applied Process letters can be applied to any plaque and many surfaces with our special heat activated bonding material also ADA compliant.
Units are installed on most surfaces with 3M foam mounting tape as standard but can be mechanically surface mounted with concealed mounting hardware on a backer panel.
